Lazy Sunday Links

lazy weekend

I'm enjoying a lovely lazy weekend with nowhere to go and not much that requires my attention.  It's even obligingly raining, so I can't get out to do the gardening, which, after a long and difficult week, is a bit of a relief, actually.

An article over on Get Rich Slowly, has me intrigued.  It introduces the concept of the Swapluck - a get-together of like-minded people to swap goods and services.

I'm a huge fan of the potluck.  We have a group of friends who have been meeting for a monthly shared dinner for over ten years now.  And while we're there, we informally offer garden plants and surplus bits of furniture.  But something a little more formalized might be a cool thing.

Do you think your circle of friends would go for something like that?  Do you think it could help you decorate your home or grow your garden?  Have you done it already?  I'd love to hear your stories!

On a sad note, Leah Hennen of More Ways to Waste Time has decided to retire from blogging.

Leah has been a good friend to this blog and I'm really going to miss her.  Best of luck to you Leah, and thanks for all the inspiration!
