Decorating With Found Objects - Part 1


Sometimes packaging is just too pretty to waste.

I say this with some hesitation, I must admit. I would never advise buying anything just so you could re-use the package it came in. That way leads to clutter and financial difficulty.

That said, I often do look closely at my bottles, cans, boxes, etc., to see if I can make use of them before giving them up to the recycler.

My husband's a baker. One of the breads he makes is a roasted garlic and parmesan. The parmesan used to come in these big tins. We needed something that was big enough to store all our wooden spoons and tongs beside the stove. (And, yes, we use all of these.) It seemed silly to go out and buy something when this was available and I liked the graphics, so....

This is an awesome container. My husband fusses about my saving containers. But I might use it for something else!!!!
