Progress!

The guys are really working hard for us over at the triplex. They've found a huge tangle of tree roots.

And, as promised, some pretties to end the week.

I mixed the paint myself, using bits of this and that. It's a really good idea to paint a big patch of it on the wall and let it dry completely before you paint the whole room. I recommend this approach even if you've picked the colour from a paint chip and had the store mix it for you.

We didn't do that this time. It was getting late, we were losing the light and I was, I dunno, a little cranky? Fortunately, it didn't dry any darker than this. The room doesn't get a lot of light. A really dark colour would be unfortunate.
