You meet the most interesting people wandering around the internet...
I was looking through Flickr for interesting salvage projects. I saw a photo of a very cool lamp, followed the links and came to the site of Mike McCaffrey. He's a web developer who likes to make stuff with junk in his spare time and take great photos of the finished projects.
But that's not all! There are instructions, too! For things like a bedside bookshelf and this bookcase made out of a curb-gleaned hollow core door.

cool idea--I have seen the doors used for desk tops--but I like this idea too.
