Yay! I Can Bathe!

I've never been a notably squeamish person, but the state the tub was in at our new place gave even me pause...

Yucky!

I went through an entire magic eraser and quite a bit of calcium, lime, rust remover from our local hardware store before it was to a point that I could contemplate stepping in for purposes of showering.  But it still wasn't good.

Then my friend Fiona told me about Simply Clean's Vinegar Plus (five times stronger than regular vinegar!).  And then she loaned me her bottle.

It smells really, really vinegary.  Room-clearingly so, in fact.  My nose wrinkled up so badly my toes curled.  But I'd far rather the smell of vinegar than weird chemicals doing untold, unknowable damage.

As to its effectiveness, well,

TA DAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now we just need to fix the leaky faucet.....

I'll have to try this! The only thing that would clean our tubs at our old house (well water) was The Works toliet cleaner. Not the shower cleaner but the stronger stuff for toliets. I bought it by the cartfull!

Hi Barb!
That product is amazing. Did you use anything else or just the Simply Clean's Vinegar plus? Do you mind if I ask where she purchases it? Hope your enjoying your new place, your doing a wonderful job of fixing things up.

Hi Jana! Stratford's water comes mostly from artesian wells, which means lots of healthy minerals. It also means lots of hard water stains.

Thanks for the sympathy, Tracylynne! Always appreciated!

Thanks, Shelly! I just used the vinegar and a green scrubby. In Stratford, it's available at the Gentle Rain.

Great job, I'll have to remember that product the next time I go shopping.

Leaky faucet should be easy to fix. I've done it before, all it takes is one part and a little time.
