I think I've figured out why we see more stories about big, spacious houses in magazines than tiny, little ones. The little spaces are nearly impossible to photograph!
In the narrow entry to the guestroom, I've hung a couple of pictures (I did this before reading Tara's very helpful tips - I usually just measure and swear...). The top one was a shop-warming present from my friends Douglass and Stephen. And the one below was painted many years ago by a family friend.
They look great in the room and you can see them when you're passing down the hall.
Just don't try to photograph them....
We're off to Ikea today with a very short shopping list. And a few orders from friends. And Alan just mentioned that we need wine glasses... oh dear.....

Mrs.McMahon,
I was born and raised in Seaforth and now live in Tillsonburg. So I pass through Sebringville alot and admire your little shop everytime. I have not yet been in. (Your off season) But I can't wait for Victoria day! I goggled your shop for store hours and came across your blog.
Love it!!! I love it so much I have started my own blog and now I'm addicted to blogging! I am just getting used to how it works so will see how it goes. You have so many great ideas. Infact I took your idea about the magnet board except I used an old larger square piece of ceiling tile that I picked up at a yard sale. I new I loved it but never new what to do with it. It is now hanging in my office at work.
I just wanted to let you know that I love your ideas and you have inspired me to try some new things. And I really enjoy reading your blog.
Happy Blogging! Shelly Beaver

Thanks so much for the mention here of my one little trick--compared to you who has sooo many and I learn so much from!

Hope Ikea was full of all you needed!

Isn't IKEA a fun adventure?? I usually don't buy much, but come home with a bag of Swedish Meatballs :)

Shelly - what a huge compliment! Thank you so much! Your blog looks really nice. Best of luck with it!
Tara - you don't give yourself enough credit. But I'm glad you like my ideas.
Janet - I always come home with a head full of ideas. Almost bought some pickled herring this time, but it wasn't on the list and I'm trying, at least, to behave...
