We Finally Have a Bedroom

It's not completely and utterly finished yet (what ever is?), but I'm too excited to wait.  I have to show you pictures of the progress so far.

Here's the view from the doorway...

After twenty five years of marriage, you need the occasional reminder....

And from the foot of the bed...

You've heard of assigned seating...

And my favourite addition.

This is so cool! Thanks Jeff!

There was really no room anywhere for a laundry hamper, so we had the carpenter cut a hole in the floor and put in a laundry chute.  It needs another coat of paint and a handle, but I cannot describe the luxury!

It's like being able to drop your dirty clothes on the floor, only way tidier!

Today we get to start installing the closet.

What projects are you working on?

I want a laundry chute too! (Unfortunately I live in the apartment and my downstairs neighbors might not like it) It looks really good. Nice that you have a place to relax at the end of the day. Have some good holidays.

Oh, but that would be so handy!

You have a great holiday, too! Say hi to your parents for us.

I am in love with the laundry shoot.
I need one in my hallway, the bathroom, the bedroom, and my daughter's room....
Obviously - we need a maid!

You are doing such great work. I love your pictures above your bed. Gives it such a finished look. I am searching for something myself.
I also love the closet work that was done. Nice to have someone handy around, isn't it ?
Lastly, your laundry chute -- I love that idea.
I just had my kitchen cupboards painted and a new floor. I told them I wanted two shades of light Yellow-green, and I ended up with peach walls and bright yellow cabinets. Think I will stain the cabinets to give them an antique look and finish the rest myself.

Peach and bright yellow... good luck with getting it the way you want it!
