Lazy Sunday Links - Cool Frugal Blogs

Lazy Sunday

I don't talk much about frugality on this site.  I don't talk about it much in my daily life, either.  But it's there, in the background, as a sort of underlying theme to all this cool reuse of junk and making your home work for you.

There are a lot of sites out there that have saving money at the forefront.  And, I hate to bring this up, but they can be a bit grim, many of them.  And I know that I shouldn't hold that against them, since they don't actually advertise themselves as fun and frugal, but I so don't like grim.

So I was really pleased to find a few sites this week, packed with helpful money-saving tips and a general philosophy of better living through frugality, that are also well-designed, well-written and joyful.

The Frugal Girl started posting about a year ago.  She's a mother of four and her blog is "all about the practical, day-to-day ins and outs of frugal living"

Katy Wolk-Stanley writes the Non-Consumer Advocate to "help people learn to live on less, and to do so in a way that lessens their environmental impact."  She freely admits her imperfections and has a great sense of humour.

Get Rich Slowly is a huge site that's been around since spring of 2006. Very well-written, the title says it all.

As always, if you have any recommendations, please let me know!

And have yourselves a lovely lazy Sunday!
