Oh Boy! More Dirt!

A few weeks ago, a representative from the gas company stopped by to let us know that they would be moving our meter to the outside of the building. Apparently, it's a safety issue and eventually every building in Canada will have an external meter.

After making sure they knew not to put it on the front of the building, Alan gave the go-ahead.

Why was I expecting it to be simple?

We came home from the cleaning up the mess at the triplex to find this ominous sight.

And then on Thursday, three trucks, a backhoe and a whole bunch of guys showed up.

The gas was turned off for the rest of the morning and there was mud everywhere.

But it's all done now. And when we remember to bring the mop and bucket back from the other house, everything will be fine.

I don't have to pay for this, right?
